V MUSIC CONNECTION is a partnership between Michael and Jen Vander Meer.
The concept is not new but for us we were inspired to go into business naturally following many calls for musician referrals and after performing at various functions. We excel at finding the most appropriate music for events ensuring lasting memories.

Michael VanderMeer (Metal Mike)

Mike has deep roots in the hard rock scene and has played lead guitar in well known local bands such as Figure 4, Sweet Vengeance and currently TENNFOLD. His love of music began singing hymns in church and learned to play the guitar at age 11. Mike attended Fanshawe College and graduated from the prestigious Music Industry Arts – Production Program.
Mike was taught the ways of the music biz under the direction of Terry McMannis (songwriter & music business professional), Jack Richardson (producer of the likes of The Guess Who, Alice Cooper and Bob Seger to name a few). Mikes brings hands on experience in Classical and Contemporary guitar, an ear for sound and talent, and a unique writing style to the business.

Jen VanderMeer (Jenny V)

Jen, Mikes loving and supportive wife has finally embraced Mikes love and complete obsession with music. She has almost 10 years of corporate business experience in the logistics world, acting as a liaison between buyers, freight forwarders and suppliers; she specializes in reporting and knows customer service and its importance first hand. She studied Business at Durham College and brings drive, determination and organization to the musicians at VMC.
Jen is a natural leader and problem solver. She is focused and professional and enjoys working with clients to ensure their event has suitable entertainment. On the flip side she enjoys promoting, mentoring and consulting on musicians business needs. She follows current trends and enjoys a challenge- call her for any live music inquiry.
